Fr. George Ayoub prepares Chancellery Office Handbook
JERUSALEM – 170 years after the re-establishment of the Latin Patriarchate, former Chancellor Fr. George Ayoub has prepared a volume entitled “Chancellery Office of the Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem Handbook”, which details the duties and responsibilities of the Chancellor, management of day-to-day affairs, liturgical celebrations and protocols in the Diocese, handling all written and official documents, the registration and management of the Latin Patriarchate archives.
“170 years after the re-establishment of the Latin Patriarchate, I saw the importance of putting together a handbook, which pertains to the matters of the Chancellery Office of the Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem” said Fr. George. “These matters concern liturgical celebrations and important protocols of the Patriarch and his Vicars, in addition to the different correspondence”.
He added “the work of the Chancellor is a very sensitive one that demands attention and care. Thus, I decided to prepare a handbook that can be used by future generations who will assume the duties of such a position”.
