AMMAN – On Saturday, December 2, 2017, the Shepherds Choir of Beit Sahour, gave a Christmas recital entitled “From Bethlehem to Bethlehem” at the School of Shmeisani’s Rosary Sisters. A first in Jordan.
On December 2, many Christians flocked to Shmeisani’s Rosary Sisters’ School for the Christmas concert of the Shepherd’s Choir, a choir affiliated with the Latin Patriarchate Schools in Palestine. The young singers and musicians, led by conductor George Salsa, began the evening with religious songs before devoting themselves, in the second part, to the theme of Christmas. Overseeing the reception, Father Bader asked the artists to convey the greetings of the Christians of Jordan, “their brothers and sisters”, to the city of the Lord Jesus on their return to the Holy Land. Bishop William Shomali, Patriarchal Vicar in Jordan, Patriarch Emeritus Fouad Twal, Apostolic Nuncio Bishop Mauro Lalli and many other personalities attended the event.
On Thursday, November 30, the Shepherd’s Choir also performed a concert with the children of the home of Our Lady of Mount, Anjara in the north of the country. For these young people, this trip was also the opportunity to visit several parishes, guided by Father Bashar, spiritual guide of this tour. The young people, who were staying at Our Lady of Peace Center, returned to Beit Sahour on Sunday, after a warm exchange with Bishop Shomali.
