On Friday, October 7th, 2022, in the convent of the Rosary sisters, Mgr Wiliam Shomali, General Vicar of the Latin Patriarchate, presided over a Mass for the feast of Our Lady of the Rosary, co-celebrated by Mgr Boulos Marcuzzo and Fr. Elias Tabban, and during which the sisters renewed their vows.
After the reading of the Gospel (Luke 1:26-28), from where the words of the Hail Mary are taken from, Mgr Shomali reaffirmed in his homily the power found in praying the Rosary, and prayed for the sisters to always live according to the Virgin Mary’s answer “I am the Lord’s servant.”
“While I was in deep prayer, I heard the Lord's call and I knew I had to join the Rosary sisters. It was in the same church where Saint Marie Alphonsine got the revelation to found the congregation” said Sr. Mariam Babish, a sister from Bethlehem who joined the congregation in 2014 and professed her perpetual vows in 2022.
The Mass marked a day filled with spiritual activities for the sisters, led by Mgr Shomali.
