Celebrations in honor of the High School graduates of the Jordanian Christian Youth Available in the following languages:

For the fourth year in a row, the General community responsible for the Jordanian Christian Youth, the JEC, held a celebration on Friday, September 8th, 2023, at the theater of the Rosary School - Marj Al Hammam. In honor of the new High School graduates and those who earned an outstanding grade in the national exams.

The celebration was sponsored by Prof. Dr. Mamoun N. Akroush, the President of the American University of Madaba, Jordan. He addressed a word to the graduates, advising them to follow their passions while deciding on a Major. Also, Ms. Nora Al-Adwan, an AUM university graduate and employee, shared her own experience in choosing a career that fit her, and introduced the new Majors provided by the American University of Madaba.

The Secretary-General of the Youth, Mr. Ibrahim Musallam, delivered an inspirational speech to the graduates, saying: “Dream, and venture for your dream, do not give up on living in holiness on your way to achieving your dream. So that you would radiate the Joy of the Lord".

The celebration was marked by the beautiful folk songs played by the JEC Band, and a Dabkeh performance performed by the Apostles youth group from Northern Zarqa.

The JEC family celebrated 100 individual of its members who excelled in their various academic and professional disciplines and were presented a certificate of appreciation for their efforts. Those who ranked first in the different branches at the level of the JEC were also honored, the list goes as follows:

  • Jude Handal Hijazin from Smakieh Parish, first on the scientific branch.
  • Karam Salem Fakhoury from Til’Al’Ali Parish, first on the humanitarian branch.
  • Issa Nasrawin, from the New Zarqa parish, first on the industrial branch.
  • Marina Nidal Haddad from the Husson parish, first the agricultural branch.

JEC encourages all those with the will to improve their performance in the current supplementary session, to remain steadfast and persevere.

At the end of the day, Fr. Wajdi Twal, the National chaplain, and the spiritual director of the youth in Jordan, presided over a Mass. "Be confident, and do not underestimate the power you possess. You are the children of God Most High,” he addressed the youth in his homily.

To conclude the celebrations, a small party was held. The music was provided by the young DJ Muhannad Sahuna, a member of the JEC.
