On Sunday, January 8th, Mgr William Shomali, General Vicar, presided over the Mass of the Feast of the Baptism of the Lord in the church of Our Lady of the Visitation in Zababdeh. The Mass was concelebrated by the parish priest, Fr. Butrus Hijazin, and attended by many parishioners.
During his homily, Mgr Shomali focused on the significance of the sacrament of baptism: "When we are baptized, we become children of God, which means we have to live as His children and bear witness to Him and his love for us in our daily lives," he said.
The Mass also included the renewal of their promise for the scouts of Zababdeh, as well as the commemoration of the 42th anniversary since their foundation. During the event, Fr. Butrus Hijazin also announced the names of the members of the new parish council.
