Knights and Dames from the Order receive pilgrim shells

On May 9th and 10th, 2022, French and British Knights and Dames of the Order of the Holy Sepulchre came to the Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem to receive their pilgrim shells from His Beatitude Mgr Pierbattista Pizzaballa, Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem and Mgr William Shomali, General Vicar. The shell is the most important decoration of the Order; it is worn on the cape, over the Jerusalem cross. To receive it, members must make a pilgrimage to Jerusalem and pray inside the Holy Sepulchre.
