On Friday, March 17th, 2023, the staff of the Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem participated in a spiritual retreat in the Cremisan monestry in Beit Jala. The retreat, which focused on Easter, was intended to prepare the staff to greet the upcoming celebrations with joyful and repentant hearts. The program included morning prayers, small group discussions, and a lecture on the importance of living one's faith in daily life, as well as on our relationship to our social duties. The main theme was the priority one had to give to faith.
The retreat also included an introductory session on Holy Week. Participants were given an explanation of the liturgical symbols and the liturgy of Holy Week, according to the Latin rite. The retreat ended with a Mass and a lunch shared by all in the beautiful scenery of Beit Jala.
