On February 1st, 2023, the Brazilian Catholic community of Canção Nova, whose members in the Holy Land work for the Christian Media Center, renewed their commitment to God during a Mass presided over by His Beatitude Pierbattista Pizzaballa, Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem.

This community, whose charism is evangelization through media, has been working in partnership with the Custody’s CMC for more than a decade to “show the beauty of the Holy Land” through its spiritual, ecumenical, liturgical and other Christian-related events.

During the celebration, which took place in the Pro-Cathedral of the Latin Patriarchate, the Patriarch highlighted how important Canção Nova’s mission was for the Holy Land, describing it as a “very precious service” to the community, and linking it to the Gospel passage, “a light to reveal God to the nations” (Luc 2: 32). “What you are, what you work for is just that: a light that reaches people, and a light that everyone needs.”
