On Wednesday, June 8th, 2022, at the Notre Dame Center of Jerusalem, His Beatitude Mgr Pierbattista Pizzaballa, Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem, met with the Pentecost Commission in Jerusalem and Galilee Representatives of the New Communities and Ecclesiastical Movements of the Diocese in order to discuss the Synodal journey that has been experienced since last November, and the initiatives shown for Pentecost 2022.
"I am thankful to the Lord for this initiative that brought unity in the Church, and where there was an authentic exchange and dialogue," said Patriarch Pizzaballa. "By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another" (Jn 13, 35); this is what you have lived, this is what you have witnessed to. There is a deep need for living communities, in a true and authentic way, in the reality of our local Church. [...] We must learn to speak, as a Church, with a new narrative that is inclusive, that unites, that recognizes the wounds but works to overcome them."
