The Bible study program concludes its third course

On June 4th, 2023, His Beatitude Pierbattista Pizzaballa, Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem, presided over the graduation of the third course of the Holy Bible study program, by presiding over the Liturgy of the Word in the Latin parish of Beit Sahour.
The course, which focused on the Wisdom Books of the Bible, opened in the beginning of February and ended at the beginning of June. During these 4 months, Fr. Issa Hijazin, parish priest of Beit Sahour, taught 65 Christians residing in the Bethlehem region, allowing them to immerse themselves in the riches of the Word and its revelation.
This course is a continuation of a previous one, and registration is still open for those interested to join the study program
In his homily, Mgr Pizzaballa shared his love and dedication for the Word: “From an early age, I desired to enter religious life, mainly to spend more time meditating and studying the Word. It turned out God had a different plan for me, but I still dedicate some time to read the Bible, which helps me to stay rooted in the truth and live out my vocation.”
The celebration ended with His Beatitude handing out certificates to the participants.
