This week, the Franciscan Sisters' School of Beit Sahour welcomed a dozen of new children for a short yearly summer camp, in order to determine, through games and activities, those in most need of its program for next year.

Founded in 1995, this school, called the Holy Child Program, welcomes every year around 35 children with behavioral and psychological problems, to offer them a therapeutic and educational program adapted to their specific needs. Established by the Franciscan Sisters of the Eucharist, whose spirituality called to care for the most vulnerable and fragile populations, it originally started with four pupils. Today, it also involves the families by offering them a sanctuary-like environment and parent-child therapy sessions and group meetings.
