Here below is the program for the 2013 Holy Land Coordination. A Press Conference will be held on Thursday, January 10, 10:00 a.m. at the Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem (Jaffa Gate), hosted by His Beatitude Fouad Twal, Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem. A Final Communique will be issued by the Bishops participating in the Holy Land Coordination meeting taking place from January 5 to 10, 2013.

Saturday 5th January
Arrivals and accommodation at the Manger Square Hotel in Bethlehem.
7.30 pm Evening meal
8.30 pm Evening Prayer (for all) and orientation meeting for HLC Bishops -meeting room.
Sunday 6th – Monday 7th January the group will split in two:
Group A will go to Jordan to visit Iraqi and Syrian refugees and the American University
6th January: Epiphany Sunday – Jordan time is one hour ahead
07.00 am Departure by bus for Allemby Bridge and cross border
10.30 am Meeting with Iraqi refugees organized by Fr. Khalil Jaar at the Latin Parish Hall in Sweifieh (Amman):
12.30 noon Lunch at the Latin Patriarchal Vicariate
2.30 pm Departure for meeting with Syrian refugees, accompanied by Caritas Jordan and Pontifical Mission
5.00 pm Holy Mass at the Twelve Apostles Church in Zarqa
7.30 pm Dinner and overnight at the Rosary Sisters House of the Visitation in Dabbouk (Amman)
10.30 am Visit to the American University of Madaba: tour, meeting with academic staff and students
12.30 noon Lunch at the university cafeteria
03.30 pm Cross border at King Hussein Bridge and back to Bethlehem at the Manger Square Hotel
Group B (4 people), accompanied by C.R.S. to Gaza for a one day pastoral visit to Christian Institutions
07.00 am Departure for Gaza – Visits
07.30 pm Evening meal
08.30 pm Evening Prayer and orientation meeting for HLC Bishops – meeting room
Tuesday 8th January
7.30 am Mass in St Catherine’s Church
8.45 am Orientation meeting for HLC Bishops
9.15 am Introduction to the morning session – meeting room
Bishops share their thoughts about experiences in Gaza and Jordan.
10.45 am Refreshment break
11.15 am The Patriarch, His Beatitude Archbishop Fouad Twal and The Apostolic Nuncio, Archbishop Giuseppe Lazzarotto will address the whole group on “the current situation in the Holy Land”
1.00 pm Lunch at the hotel in Bethlehem.
2.30 pm Depart for visit to Cremisan area. Meetings with Fr Emile Salaytah, St Yves Society, DFID
5.00 pm Depart by coach for the Ambassador Hotel in Jerusalem
6.00 pm Reception and presentation from Consuls accredited to the Palestinian Authority
7.30 pm Evening meal at the Ambassador Hotel with representatives of the Christian Tour operators

Wednesday 9th January
8.30 am Orientation Meeting (for Bishops) – Cardinal Furno Hall, Bethlehem University
9.15 am Morning Prayer – Chapel of the Divine Child
9.30 am Greeting by Brother Peter Bray, Vice Chancellor of Bethlehem University (short presentation of strategic planned initiatives for the work of the Church through Bethlehem University) – Cardinal Furno Hall, Bethlehem University
9.45 am Panel including three Sisters involved in full-time care of African refugees, Philippine workers and Christian prisoners.
11.00 am Refreshment Break.
11.30 am Discussion with Student Ambassadors of Bethlehem University
(Topics may include UN Recognition of Palestine, and the Personal Livelihood and Hopes for the Future of the Students).
12.00 noon Mass in the University Chapel with the Brothers, Sisters and students.
1.00 pm Lunch in the University’s Hotel Management Training Restaurant.
5.30 pm Human rights in Palestine (by B’Tselem).
7.00 pm Evening meal, discussion with the Mayors of Bethlehem, Beit Jala, Beit Sahour and Parish Priests or Pastors in Bethlehem.
8.45 pm Evening Prayer and orientation meeting for HLC Bishops – meeting room.
Thursday 10th January
8.30 am Mass in one of the Catholic chapels in the Church of the Holy Sepulchre.
10.00 am Press Conference at the Latin Patriarchate, Jerusalem.
10.45 am Final evaluation meeting for Bishops in the Latin Patriarchate
12.00 am Lunch and first departures.
