JORDAN - The Beheading of Saint John the Baptist parish celebrated the priestly ordination of Deacon Wajdi Twal, on Wednesday, December 2, 2020, at the Church of the Good Shepherd in Amman.

H.B. Fouad Twal, Patriarch Emeritus of Jerusalem presided over the Mass, which was concelebrated by Bishop William Shomali, Latin Patriarchal Vicar for Jordan, Bishop Salim Sayegh, and Fr. Imad Twal, the uncle and the godfather of Wajdi.
A number of priests and Rosary Sisters attended the ceremony with some of his family and friends.

In his homily, Patriarch Twal addressed the new priest and said: “Dear Father Wajdi, the spiritual life remains the respiratory system of your priestly life, and for carrying out all these responsibilities and challenges. Do not forget that you are not alone in the field of work. There are your brothers, the heroic priests, who bear the weight of the day, and there are the dear Rosary Sisters and others. Also, I know that young people are excited to work with you, you shall not be afraid of loneliness”.
