First Diaconal Ordination in 10 years takes place at Latroun Monastery
JERUSALEM – On Sunday, January 26, 2020, and for the first time in 10 years, the Trappists of Abbey of Our Lady of Sorrows celebrated the diaconal ordination of Br. Marie Alois, who has been serving at the Abbey of Our Lady of Sorrows for the last two years in Latroun, north west of Jerusalem.
At the imposition of hands and consecratory prayer of Archbishop Pierbattista Pizzaballa, Apostolic Administrator of the Latin Patriarchate, Br. Marie Alois was ordained a deacon in the presence of Abbot Very Rev. René Hascoët, O.C.S.O, and Abbot Very Rev.Patrick Olive, Superior of Abbey of Notre Dame de Sept-Fons in France, as well as priests, religious men and women and the faithful.
