TEL AVIV - On Wednesday, June 30, 2021, the representatives of the Vicariate for Migrants and Asylum Seekers in Israel had the honour to host his Beatitude the Latin Patriarch Pierbattista Pizzaballa at the Our Woman of Valor Pastoral Center in Tel Aviv.

His Beatitude started his visit at Kuchinate, a therapeutic and creative women collective, that empowers asylum-seeking women by giving them access to an income generating therapeutic work. Our dear Sr. Azezet Kidane, CMS, is the co-founder of this project. From the testimonies of the women at Kuchinate, his Beatitude learned more about the stories of these women, their struggles and hopes for the future.

The Patriarch then came to the Pastoral Center to listen and learn about the different migrant and asylum seeker communities; their specific pastoral needs and challenges.

We enjoyed a very interesting exchange of thoughts and ideas on how we can improve serving our communities, and we are looking forward to continuing doing this knowing that we are supported by the Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem.

The day ended with a Holy Mass, putting work into the hands of God and His mercy.
