TLA’ AL‘ALI – On Friday, June 18, 2021, the Christian Youth movement (JEC) in Jordan organized the second committee meeting (the first “physical” meeting in over a year), at the Church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in Tla’ Al-‘Ali.
At the beginning of the meeting, Mr. Osama Shatara, Secretary General welcomed all members, and proceeded to highlight the achievements made in the Secretariat at all levels, and offer some suggestions for the near future.
The meeting included several recreational activities that focused on the flexibility of each member, and the ability to adapt to different circumstances. It also included a speech by Ms. Lubna Abu Hanna, in which she shed light on ways to overcome difficulties by turning them into opportunities, as well as getting out of one’s comfort zone and reaching an actual stage of change that starts with the person himself or herself.
A section of the meeting was devoted to introducing leadership skills, which focused on the difference between general skills and leadership skills, presented by specialized trainers who provided an explanation of the training programs offered by the centers to which they belong.
The meeting concluded with a Holy Mass in which Fr. Wajdi Twal, deputy general adviser, focused on the absolute trust in God who will never abandon us.
