Spiritual Formation Center
Established in 2023 by H.B. Pierbattista Pizzaballa, the Spiritual Formation Center of the Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem was founded in response to a clear pastoral vision attentive to the needs of the local Church. It is the first initiative of its kind in the region to offer free theological, biblical, and spiritual courses specifically for the laity in their native language.
Based at the Seminary of the Latin Patriarchate, the Center serves as an educational and spiritual hub dedicated to the integral formation of lay men and women. Through accessible teaching and courses led by priests, professors, and specialists from the local Church, participants are helped to deepen their understanding of the faith, grow in spiritual maturity, and discover their personal and ecclesial vocation.
Grounded in the conviction that the Church is a communion of all the faithful, the Center seeks to equip the laity to participate actively and responsibly in the life and mission of the Church.
Courses are currently offered in Beit Jala, Jerusalem, Nablus, Birzeit, and Ramallah, with plans to expand to the Galilee region.
