Tuesday, September 1, 2026 — Mr. Johny Zeidan officially assumed his duties as the new Chief Executive Officer of the Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem, beginning a new chapter of service to the Patriarchate, its Church, and its institutions.
In his new role, Mr. Zeidan will oversee administrative, financial, and institutional affairs, contributing to the continued development and strengthening of the Patriarchate’s work and mission.
In preparation for assuming his responsibilities, Mr. Zeidan has, in recent days, met with several directors of Patriarchate offices and staff members, gaining a closer understanding of the work of its various departments and institutions, as well as their priorities and needs. The new CEO looks forward to partnering closely with the Patriarchate’s offices, institutions, and team, leveraging his extensive and broad experience in operational management, strategic leadership, and institutional development to advance its mission and serve the faithful and the wider community.
Mr. Zeidan brings extensive experience in leadership, administration, finance, and institutional management. His career is highlighted by several years with the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), marked by a distinguished history of managing multi-million-dollar initiatives. Coupled with executive leadership roles in commercial banking and the private sector, he offers deep expertise in finance, donor compliance, large-scale educational program implementation, high-level strategic coordination, and driving major international development projects focused on education, community development, and civil society.
His broad professional experience in executive leadership, financial management, institutional development, and community engagement will advance Patriarchate’s mission and ensure an effective service to its institutions and faithful.
